10km: 8 years and older by the date of the event

25km: 10 years and older by the date of the event.

50km: 15 years and older by the date of the event

Kids Road categories (on tarred / paved roads within Steyn City): Birds - 1km / Meerkats - 1.5km / Lions - 2.8km / Elephants - 5.5km.

Kids race, 10km and the 25km will take place on Saturday 8 November and the 50km will take place on Sunday 9 November in Steyn City.

E-Bikes may only be ridden if the participant selects the E-bike category when entering online. Should an E-bike participant change his entry to / from an E-bike category without properly applying for such a change through the Race Office, he / she will be disqualified (T&C's apply). No e-bikes will be permitted on the 10km MTB route

An entrant’s Ride Joburg MTB index will be calculated using the following criteria: The Organising Committee will use selected SASeeding MTB events obtained between 1 November 2021 to 30 September 2025 for seeding of 25km / 50km entrants (at the discretion of the Race Director).

It is compulsory for every cyclist participating in 10km, 25km & 50km to wear a valid Pursuit timing board linked to your personal profile. Pursuit boards can be purchased online and on the day.

Refunds shall not be permitted under any circumstances, and thus, the policy strictly precludes the issuance of reimbursements for any purchases or transactions.
