Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg MTB is back at Steyn City! Brand new features have been added to Steyn City’s already thrilling MTB trail network. Choose between a 10km, 25 km or 50 km trail but do not be fooled - the route packs a punch!
MTB:
10KM - Sat 12 November: Perfect for a family day out , kids and parents can enjoy a day of Mountain Biking together.
25KM - Sat 12th November: Perfect for the weekend warrior or those riders relatively new to mountain biking.
50KM - Sun 13th November: For the brave and seasoned mountain biker.

KIDS:
Birds - 1km - Sat 12 November:Perfect for a family day out , kids and parents can enjoy a day.
Meerkats - 1.5km - Sat 12 November:Perfect for a family day out , kids and parents can enjoy a day.
Lions - 2.8km - Sat 12 November:Perfect for a family day out , kids and parents can enjoy a day.
Elephants - 5.5km - Sat 12 November:Perfect for a family day out , kids and parents can enjoy a day.

10km: 8 years and older on 31 December 2022 25km: older than 10 years on the 31 December 2022. 50km: older than 15 years on the 31 December 2022.Kids Road categories (on tarred / paved roads within Steyn City): Birds - 1km / Meerkats - 1.5km / Lions - 2.8km / Elephants - 5.5km.
10km will take place on Saturday the 12th November, 25km will take place on Saturday the 12th November and the 50km will take place on Sunday the 13th of November.
E-Bikes may only be ridden if the participant selects the E-bike category when entering online. Should an E-bike participant change his entry to / from an E-bike category without properly applying for such a change through the Race Office, he / she will be disqualified (T&C's apply). No e-bikes will be permitted on the 10km MTB route
An entrant’s Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg MTB index will be calculated using the following criteria: The Organising Committee will use selected SASeeding MTB events obtained between 1 November 2019 and 30 September 2022 for seeding of 25km / 50km entrants (at the discretion of the Race Director).
It is compulsory for every cyclist participating in 25km & 50km to wear a valid SASeeding board linked to your personal profile. SASeeding boards can be purchased online and on the day.
A 100% refund is given in the event of cancellation by the organiser due to Covid.
